A taste of April at Freedom Church

There's so much to tell you this month – God has been working mightily!

Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Isaiah 40:30-31

Church

During Holy Week we had Communion at 7:20am each morning lasting just 10 minutes via Zoom in remembrance. Short but precious. Each morning was led by a different member of the church. God’s presence was so tangible.
David Steele led Resurrection Sunday Service with a great talk that Christ has not left us powerless as christians. He encouraged us all to believe and walk in the truth that the same power that raised Jesus from the dead lives in us. Viki (also one of the fulltime missionaries in Truth Planters) accompanied David’s talk with her gift of leading worship, we also interviewed Jessica from Tampa Bay USA with a up to date testimony of how God saved two members of her family from death.
On the 11th of April we introduced you to Vane a Macedonian living and working in Hungary with YWAM (Youth With A Mission) he tells us how God stepped into his life, and took him from drug addiction into a life of serving Christ and helping others.
One not to be missed! An incredible testimony of Jesus meeting him where he was in a very dark place and setting him free and filling him with life and joy. A place he could never get to by himself.
One comment on YouTube from JB:
Thank you for the dynamic service!! Vane's testimony, Paul's message and his wife's lovely spirit have been a huge blessing to me!!

Resurrection Offering

We were fortunate to hear of the homeless church in Hungary (we spoke here in 2019) are desperately trying to feed the homeless and destitute people, before the pandemic they were regularly feeding 20 – 30 people a week, over the last year this has spiralled to over 200 people each week. In the first picture Janet is holding up a food package each person gets with a tin of meat and a sweetie. Each food package costs 3euros. We managed to send just over 1 Sundays cost.
Stichting Embrace is run by a Dutch couple, Michel and Janet Van Boxtel, who are missionaries to the homeless in Hungary.  They work tirelessly in bringing the homeless to the One who can change their lives, Jesus Christ.

Veronika from Ukraine spoke powerfully to us from John 1: 45-46 “Come & See” was her invitation. Come & see how your life could be saved, transformed and healed by Jesus Christ. Nothing is too difficult for Him.

Paul Cowley

The challenge was extended by Paul Cowley (author of Thief Prisoner, Soldier, Priest) when after 90 days of not attending a Gym to get back on the weights was difficult and so he compared stretching his muscles to our faith as we go forward from here.

Paul talked about Martha being told by Jesus we have to keep our eyes on one thing and that is Jesus Christ and how we need each other to do this.

Thank you all so much for your support both through prayer and financial giving.

We are so blessed and encouraged that you are with us as we seek God for the way forward and to being His kingdom here on earth.

May the Lord bless you and keep you.

Paul & Karen
